The fire-offering puja of Vajrayogini is an elaborate and spectacular ritual, comprising offerings, meditation and mantra, that contains the essence of Vajrayana Buddhism.
This is a precious opportunity to participate in a profound ceremony for the benefit of all sentient beings. For those empowered to practice Vajrayogini, it is an opportunity to accumulate merit and wisdom and exhaust afflictions and obscurations. Even for those who just attend the puja, it is an opportunity to gain great merit, to pray for one’s family and friends, and to enjoy a celebration of Buddhist culture.
The ground for the ceremony will be prepared in advance by His Holiness, Gangri Karma Rinpoche to ask the land spirits for permission for the puja.
The ceremony itself will begin on the morning on the day and will include offerings to the fire god, the Buddha families and to the supreme yidam, Vajrayogini, and her assembly of dakinis and protectors.
