Martsang Kagyu Lama Chopa Puja
Lama Chopa is a practice of guru devotion specific to the Martsang Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.
We are delighted to celebrate the Nirvana and enlightenment Day of our lineage founder, Choje Marpa Rinpoche.
Following this opportunity, we hold the puja with the compilation of all Mahāmudrā Instructions: An offering to the Martsang Lamas. As we know, all the great siddhas of the Martsang Kagyu had accomplished their enlightenment through a combination of meditation practices, ganachakra offerings, and last but not least, devotions to the lamas, yidams, and dakinis. We should follow our lineage masters’ footsteps and work diligently in the Lama Chöpa practice. It is particularly important to make the lama chöpa offering at the same day Chöje Marpa achieved his nirvana.
As his disciples, we sincerely pay homage to our founder, Choje Marpa to honour and to celebrate his achievements. We are grateful to the masters for passing on this glorious doctrine to us so we can follow this auspicious method to practice and to achieve enlightenment the soonest we can.
We sincerely invite our lineage tantric masters: Choje Marpa Rinpoche, Pamdruppa, Gampopa, Milarepa, and Jina Vajradhara
We sincerely invite the masters of our Mahayana lineage: Choje Marpa Rinpoche, Venerable Atisha, Maitreya Bodhisattva, and Śākyamuni, Buddha
We sincerely welcome the masters of the great emptiness lineage
We sincerely welcome the Martsang Kagyu Tantra deity:
Cakrasamvara, Vajrayogini, Guhyasamāja vajra, (Hevajara) Black Vajra, Medicine Buddha, Green Tara, Mahāvairocana Buddha
We sincerely welcome the trinity of Martsang Protectors
Please accept our offerings and provide your blessings
The Buddha said the merit grows many more times than the ordinary days when we are making offerings on auspicious days. If you cannot make any offerings during the puja, you can light up a candle, provide fruit or a glass of water at home, and dedicate these to your master. This will generate several times of merit more than the usual days
